With financial aid from the government of India ABHAYA started a free De-addiction Centre in 1988 and a Counseling Centre to give treatment to the victims of alcohol and drug dependence. Bodhi is a 15 bed hospital which has an outpatient unit also. A team of experts consisting of a psychiatrist, a general physician, counselors and social workers cater to the needs of the patients who come from kerala and Tamilnadu. The de-addiction treatment supported by individual and family counseling and group discussions, help the patients to start a new life.
